Epic -I'd never played DoTA, so I was new to the genre. Even so, this game is surprisingly easy to pick up. The tutorial, combined with player-made guides in the forum, help immensely when first starting out.

-There are now 50 Champions, and they try to release a new one every two weeks, so it's hard to get bored of the game since there's always something new to try.

-Dude, the game's free. You may as well try it out. Seriously.

-The designers release a "Champion Spotlight" every so often, showing builds for different champions that the designers themselves use. They're very close to the community, which I like.
Lame
-There are only two maps, a 5v5 and a 3v3. If you play one too much, they give you an XP/IP penalty for that map until you play more of the other one. Not too bad a thing, but it can get annoying if you're trying to get a certain build down.

-Every time there's a new patch, the server's messed up for a couple days afterwards. It takes a little while for them to get it all in working order again, which is annoying since we're all addicted to this game.
Overall I know I've repeated/reworded things that were already said, but that's just because they are all very good points that I felt should be reiterated.

The gameplay is great, and it has a pretty solid storyline that is being expanded with every release of a new champion.

It's free and noob-friendly.

There's a fairly tight-knit community feeling with this game, even though it's all session-based. There's even a fan-made cartoon in the works.

TL;DR: Great free game. Lots of content, all of which is free. No reason not to try this game.
