There is no party camp in BGR in the DA sense. It's just a modern interpretation of BG2's rest buttton, an ad hoc overnight stopover point, as opposed to DA's seemingly permanent encampment. The only reason to have them at all is as a stage for cutscenes - not for any game mechanics reasons like party member storage/management.

I have absolutely no argument about decisions made. The only reason for making my posting was to offer up a suggestion – if one was needed - to the current discussion on how extra party members could be added to increase the DA limitation of 4.

Having said that, I would dearly have liked to have replayed the original BG2 many times over to see how different groups of NPC might react together. Unfortunately with such a huge game, there could never be sufficient time.

As a newbie, I am very much on a learning curve and apart from understanding the overall aim of the project and information that 4-5 areas of Baldur’s Gate are currently getting some level of graphical attention, there is little detail to be found – particularly at this kind of level. To give you one example - what are current contents of the “too hard basket”?

Currently in the "too hard basket" is the 6-person party, obviously. Implementing the Save vs. system is another thing. Those are the only two things that come to mind right now, though I'm sure there are at least a few more things I can't remember.

Another obvious one is 100% completely custom art assets. We've had to reuse vanilla DA resources far more than I would personally like, just to have any chance of ever completing the mod within the next decade. And you could broaden the "Save Vs" one to pretty much the majority of the D&D system mechanics. We are for the most part stuck with the DA system.

some of the D&D stuff is possible. mike and me already have the "immune to +X" weapons already in and have the activated spells for the items set up.

I think he was talking about the dice roll and turn mechanics.

Hi I read in the Progress Update (module 2, update 2)
Cit. "....This new VO for non party characters will be included for all players, but it will be up to the player whether they want the new voices for Party Characters or not......"
Does that mean that I can switch anytime between this two options?

You'll be able to choose when you install the module, so not while you're playing unfortunately

You mean random encounters? I would think so, seeing as there is already an existing DA mechanic for it, at least when travelling between map points. Not sure about when trying to rest though.
