The creators of Din's Curse and Din's Curse: Demon Wars have announced their latest upcoming indie game: "Drox Operative," a space game focused on starship combat, action, and exploration. If the below press release tells us anything, it's that we can expect the same kind of awesome AI interaction and dynanicism that was found in Soldak's previous releases. Drox Operative's most notable (current) features are as follows:

• Explore a dynamic and evolving galaxy
• Explore a unique sector of the galaxy in every game, with different "monsters", ship components, quests, and even races
• Fight in the galactic war between the various alien races
• Battle hundreds of different enemy starships
• Build the coolest and deadliest starship in the galaxy
• Outfit your ship with thousands of components and crew
• Adventure with your friends with co-op multiplayer

Twenty-four hours can be a long time - especially when the topic has anything to do with the Zerg race. A twenty-four-hour charity drive is being hosted by two great Zerg players -- Shawn "Sheth" Simon and Steven "Destiny" Bonnell II -- who are ambitiously striving to raise $20,000+ within the ensuing hours. Liquid TLO did a 24 hour livestream event as well, and seems to be the one that started this trend by donating all of the proceeds to Doctors without Borders. 

StarCraft 2 professional e-sports team EvilGeniuses, whom our flux vane-equipped Overlords secretly filmed at MLG Raleigh 2011, have announced a multi-phase T-Shirt design contest with promise of riches to the best designer.

"Reddit, it's time." Stated the midnight tweet from EG, "we're asking you to design the next e-sports t-shirt. You could make money... forever."

Major League Gaming has grown substantially since its initial foray into the competitive video gaming space, and now looks to quench our thirst for gladiatorial StarCraft 2 showmanship even further with the MLG Global StarCraft 2 Invitational.

As announced earlier today, the Global StarCraft 2 Invitational will begin on September 13 (that's tomorrow!) at 7PM EST (GMT -5) on the MLG.tv website. According to MLG officials, the event will be on for the next two months, and will involve twenty-four of the top SC2 players (including the now-famous STBomber). The brackets will be divided on a weekly basis into three regions: North America, Europe, and -- you guessed it -- Korea; our favorite e-sports idols will be competing for several thousand in prize money, as broken down here:
