Star Wars: The Old Republic has certainly captured our attention, and although beta glitches and gameplay redundancies had us worried for a brief period, most of those have been addressed to some extent now that the game is rolling in full-force.
SWTOR amassed a total of one million registered users, with a shocking 350,000 players simultaneously active at the game's peak thus far. The data analysis company Baird Equity Research has stated it expects, given current trends, to see "3 million copies [sold] by March 2012," though they also state that they figure only about half of those purchasers will become recurring subscribers.
Presently, these statistics are only indicative of European and North American launches and do not account for Asian markets, which will undoubtedly unleash a tidal wave of gamers upon the young MMO.
