Phanteks Enthoo Pro Budget Enthusiast Case Announced & Specs

Posted on May 6, 2014

Case and cooling manufacturer Phanteks today announced the release of their newest gaming-targeted enclosure, the Enthoo Pro. Previous releases in the "Enthoo" line of cases include the Enthoo Primo, a $250 high-end aluminum enclosure; the company revealed in today's press release that it's attempting to expand into the budget market, hence the introduction of the "Enthoo Pro," priced at $100 MSRP. A non-windowed version is available for $90.

Phanteks is relatively new to the case manufacturing game, but they've been in high-end CPU coolers for a while now. Jumping straight to the specs:

The enclosure is aesthetically fairly muted, using a brushed finish on the front panel and flush windows for the left side panel; a mesh grill is coupled with a honeycomb dust filter in the front of the case, where an included 200mm fan serves as intake. A 140mm rear fan is also present in the case, positioned in standard line with CPU exhaust. Both fans can be connected to the included PWM fan controller hub (3-pin + 4-pin compatibility) for easier management.

Perhaps more interestingly—at least to those of you who are fans of NZXT's H440 enclosure—the Enthoo Pro also includes a removable PSU shroud with additional grommeted pass-throughs. The HDD cages are modular, as has become standard, and the HDD scaffolding is fully-closed to "increase chassis rigidity" (read: no holes in the side facing the user); this helps keep the case clean and hides the ugliest components in a build with a solid wall.

A free-floating SSD bracket can be mounted in one of two locations for those who'd prefer to keep their SSD separate from the drive cages. This is presumably done on the right side of the case, though we haven't yet seen photos of that.

Aside from this, standard cable management pass-throughs and tie anchors are scattered throughout the enclosure. Dust filters are present in the front and PSU positions.

The Enthoo Pro can fit an additional 1x200mm top-mounted fan, 1x140mm bottom fan, and 2x120mm HDD scaffolding fans. CLC and radiator support of up to 1x240mm front radiator, 1x360mm top radiator (120mm fans) or 1x420mm top radiator (140mm fans), 1x120/140 rear, and 1x240/140 bottom is also available.

The case should be available very shortly, if not already. We will have a review online once samples have been made available to media.
