Anyone who's been in the online gaming world within the last ten years has to remember FPS Doug, Jeremy, and Jeremy's camera-equipped brother, Kyle. The group brought the web's most popular gaming TV show, Pure Pwnage, to viral success, where the likes of "boom headshot!" and other famous sound-bytes originated. If you're not familiar with Pure Pwnage, this is my favorite introductory video for noobs (c. 2004; start at 4:45 for best experience).

The web series started in May, 2004 and eventually was given space on a Canadian TV network. After the disappearance of the TV show, the tragic death of a colleague on the show, and general silence on the web, Pure Pwnage re-emerged with its Indiegogo campaign to fund a movie last year. With the ten-year anniversary arriving, the series will be hosting a live-stream on Sunday, May 11th at 4PM EST. The stream can be found here: http://www.twitch.tv/roflmaoproductions.

Steve started GamersNexus back when it was just a cool name, and now it's grown into an expansive website with an overwhelming amount of features. He recalls his first difficult decision with GN's direction: "I didn't know whether or not I wanted 'Gamers' to have a possessive apostrophe -- I mean, grammatically it should, but I didn't like it in the name. It was ugly. I also had people who were typing apostrophes into the address bar - sigh. It made sense to just leave it as 'Gamers.'"

First world problems, Steve. First world problems.
