League of Legends Joins the MLG Pro Circuit

Posted on August 15, 2011

MLG surprises us again, and this time, it's by adding League of Legends (LoL) to their Pro Circuit lineup, which consists of Call of Duty: Black Ops, Halo: Reach, and Starcraft 2. So for all of you LoL fans that were not thinking of attending to MLG this year, you might have to change your schedule surrounding the weekend of the 26th of August. MLG will be hitting Raleigh in full force, but if you can't sneak out for the weekend, don’t sweat it -- MLG will have live streams for all of the games.

The format of the LoL competition will be a best of 3 (5v5) pool play, bringing us a brawl between Epik Gaming, Curse Gaming, Team Solo Mid, and Counter Logic Gaming for the grand prize of $12,500 for the first place team. That's a lot of skins.

If you want to read more, head over to MLG's announcement.
