Hi, I don't know if this has been discussed on this forum before but I am having a problem with freesync desynchronization when using the AMD frame limiter and my Asus VG245H monitor running @ 75 HZ over HDMI. Freesync tends to stop working when I put the fps limiter at 73 fps to keep the monitor constantly in the freesync range. It's to my understanding if I put the limiter to 75 fps, which is the maximum refresh rate my monitor supports it will enable vsync and disable freesync. I just wanted to confirm if this is correct, as I am attempting to troubleshoot this problem. Freesync intermittently drops when I have my fps limiter to 73 fps, causing stuttering and screen tearing. I also have RTSS running in the background as some games don't respond to AMDs frame limiter.

I don't know if this is a software problem or something wrong with the monitor itself, I am pretty computer savy but this is beyond the scope of my knowledge.

I am using a RX 480 as a graphics card.

I would try it with something between 50 to 70 hz/fps. They claim 40-75, but there may be some spikes or drops that cause it to switch mode.

I would also enable the fps overlay of the monitor, to see if what the card puts out and what the monitor receives is the same.

"Freesync tends to stop working when I put the fps limiter at 73 fps"

I'd just stop doing this.
