As many others out there I have tried my hand at building my own machine. Unfortunately I have run into a small snag. While playing BF1 I will get a FPS at around 20-30 on ultra settings.
My specs are as follows:

Intel Core i7-6700K Skylake CPU - 4 GHz
MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X - 8GB
Corsair Dominator P DDR4-2400 DC - 32GB
MSI Z170A GAMING M7 Bundkort - Intel Z170
Kingston SSDNow M.2 2280 G2 SSD (dual)
Corsair AX760 - 760 Watt - 120 mm - 80 Plus Platinum certified

So as you can see I should be good in regards to the hardware, but I can for the life of me not figure out where I went wrong.

I hope there is someone out there that have a solution or can point me in the right direction.

Did you check that the game (and maybe the driver, "GeForce Experience") has VSync disabled?

Edit: And also check the temperatures, maybe your CPU or GPU is clocking itself lower because of the heat.

What monitor do you have?

What game settings are you using?

You should get 70+ fps in BF1 at 4K High settings per www.gamersnexus.net/game-bench/2652-batt...nchmark-dx11-vs-dx12

What clocks, temps and voltages are you running your CPU and GPU? - You can use HWInfo64 to get this info.

I am wondering what resolution and refresh rates you are using?

Sorry, but the picture looks a little blurred on my Phone. What does it say under CPU Freauency there?
It looks like 815 MhZ, which would be the Idle-Clockspeed. If CPU load goes up, but the clockspeed stays around 815mhz (instead of the 4000+ mhz), then it would indicate that the CPU is somehow stuck in low-power mode.

Try to load the CPU with a free Benchmark tool (like Cinebench, Haeven Valley, etc. - NOT Prime 95!) and check what clockspeeds you get (HWinfo64, CoreTemp and the Win10 TaskManager show the current clock speeds).

If the clock stays below 4 GhZ (4000 MhZ), then I would try the following things:

1. Go to the windows power options and set it to "High Performance" (Default is usually "Balanced").

2. Use your Motherboards OC-Software or go into the UEFI/Bios and disable EIST (Intel Speed Step Technologie).

If I misread that picture and I'm wrong, and the CPU actually runs 4+ GHz under load, then forget about the stuff above ;-)

I would also try other Games and some Free Benchmark Tools to see, if it only occurs in BF1 or if the performance is bad across the board. If it's only one game, then I would try to reinstall the game and maybe update drivers.

Edit: Oh, and as for "Ultra Settings" Pre-Set, I would expect
~70fps @ 4k,
~115fps @ 1440p and
~160fps @ 1080p. But definitely more then 30.

His monitor - www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=p...Erw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
1440P 144Hz

OP - you really need to provide us with info eg GPU clocks, temps, voltages etc. The picture can't be read - it's too blurry.
