GN is proud to present our new giveaway!  Our staff has deemed Demigod worthy of our next giveaway!  Click Read More for info!

This time 'round it's a little bit different than the last giveaway, and I think many of you will enjoy this aspect - it's skill based.  Well, kind of - if you consider classic arcade games skill based.  No randomization this time, simply whoever gets ranked #1, #2, and #3 in the chosen game will win the prize(s), seen below.  All other requirements and rules apply, as per our policy.  Make sure you meet the requirements before the end of the contest.

Grand Prize

A digital copy of Demigod via Impulse.  The winner must have an Impulse Driven account (the game requires it).  To win, you must achieve the highest (#1) score in Donkey Kong, the original, to celebrate its 26th anniversary.

2nd Prize

Gamers Nexus' "Classic RTS Pack," which includes: Age of Empires Original, Age of Empires II & Expansion, Original Command & Conquer, Command & Conquer: Red Alert & Aftermath Expansion Set, and Port Royale 2 (must live in the US for shipping).

3rd Prize

A unique email address that will be in the following format YourName @  Example: Lelldorianx @  The email can be formatted for Thunderbird, Outlook, or any other mail client - or can be used in the default webmail.

Winners will be notified by email, so make sure your registered email is up to date.  If we cannot contact the winners via email, we will contact them via PM and give a 2 day allowance before reassigning the prize.

Beginning and Ending

The contest begins NOW and ends on the 15th of August, that's 8/15/2009, at midnight (EST).  Scores submitted after 23:59 (11:59) Eastern Standard Time (GMT -5, daylight savings applies) will be ignored.

What are you waiting for?  Go post in the forums and play the game!

What Next?

After this contest ends, we will be giving away StarCraft II and/or Modern Warfare 2.  At this time, we are not 100% sure.  The more people that come to the site, the more likely we are to giveaway both, so tell everyone!

Steve Burke

Steve started GamersNexus back when it was just a cool name, and now it's grown into an expansive website with an overwhelming amount of features. He recalls his first difficult decision with GN's direction: "I didn't know whether or not I wanted 'Gamers' to have a possessive apostrophe -- I mean, grammatically it should, but I didn't like it in the name. It was ugly. I also had people who were typing apostrophes into the address bar - sigh. It made sense to just leave it as 'Gamers.'"

First world problems, Steve. First world problems.
