Lian Li PC-O8 Compartmentalized Chassis Specs Announced

Posted on June 13, 2015

High-end case manufacturer Lian-Li today announced its PC-O8 enclosure, a case the company advertises as “dual-compartment.”

Lian-Li is best known for its heavy application of aluminum in case paneling and structures, creating a lighter box with a higher-quality look and feel. This, of course, is an expensive value-add that reflects itself in nearly all the company's case prices. The new PC-O8 features tempered glass front and side panels with a slight tint, making for a toned-down, classy aesthetic for system internals. An RGB LED strip runs along the case walls for some added 'pop,' though it's really up to the user to determine whether LEDs match the rest of the aesthetic.

The Lian-Li PC-O8 supports ATX form factor boards and is built akin to Corsair's Air 540 case, offering a separate compartment for HDD and PSU components. Of the case, Lian-Li stated:

“DIY enthusiasts can adjust the interior lighting through the included RGB lighting kit complete with LED strips, cord clip, dimmer and controller. The back mounted controller allows instant analog color selection.

With plenty of room to work with, installing elaborate water cooling setups is simplified in the PC-O8. In Zone 1 the top panel can support a 240mm radiator, while in Zone 2 the front intake can house a 360mm radiator in a push/pull configuration.”

Other basics include tool-less installation and cable management design, with an all-aluminum construction for higher overall build quality.

The US MSRP lands at $395, making the PC-O8 one of the most expensive compartmentalized chassis on the market.
