New Lian-Li PC-V33 Mini Case Fits ATX Hardware

Posted on September 2, 2015

Using horizontal motherboard installation, Lian-Li’s new PC-V33 enclosure is capable of supporting ATX boards with full-length video cards and PSUs. The new PC-V33 uses a compartmentalized design, sliced horizontally, to conceal the PSU and drives below the core components.

The PC-V33 case is measured at 334 x 352 x 390mm (13 x 13.9 x 15.3 in), so it’s not as tiny as an mITX case, but it’s fairly small for the ATX inclusion.

Of its new case, Lian-Li said:

“The newly designed illuminated power button is now made out of the same high grade brushed aluminum as the whole case. The pop-out side doors detach and reattach effortlessly, yet remain firmly in place. The front and top panels form a canopy as a single fold of aluminum, adding strength and beauty to the cube case. When hinged open, the case internals become accessible in the same manner as a test bench, allowing system builders to install the components and change them with ease without any walls in the way. Dual 120mm case fans or up to a 240mm water cooling radiator can fit internally on the front bracket that also holds the magnetically attached air intake filter.”

The unit uses Lian-Li’s aluminum build and ships in brushed metal or black. An optional side panel (tempered glass) is also available as an add-on. Similar to our in-house test benches, the PC-V33 can be exposed for relatively easy access, for users who desire a “real” case but want test bench accessibility at times.

We are yet unsure if the case is worthwhile as we haven’t had a proper hands-on.

The pricing for the PC-V33 is $200 or $230 with window.
