Epic Games' Paragon Hits Early Access through 30th

Epic’s Paragon is getting ready for a free beta weekend later this month -- from May 26th to the 30th. Anyone interested can sign-up here to participate, but you must sign up before the 25th.

Paragon is Epic’s take on the MOBA genre; however, the gameplay in Paragon is more like a third-person shooter than a traditional MOBA game. Also unlike other MOBAs, Paragon’s visuals are nothing to smirk at -- nVidia even brought Epic CEO Tim Sweeney out to their recent media event to use Paragon to show off the GTX 1080.

Since the initial announcements, Paragon’s roster of heroes has steadily grown to 16, most recently with the addition of GRIM.exe and Iggy & Scorch. Epic has been assigning their heroes roles as well, those roles are: Fighter, Ranger, Caster, Assassin, and Tank.

Paragon is currently in a paid early access; packages start at $20.00. The final release will be a free-to-play build. No official launch date has been set, but it is expected sometime later in 2016. In addition to an upcoming free weekend, more free beta play can be expected over the summer.
