Blizzcon, 2009: Blizzard released info of the actual skill trees to be used in D3. diii.net has put together some visually pleasing representations of those skills (but these are not actual in-game screenshots!). Take a look!
The Need for Speed franchise has been around for a long time now, and EA decided a couple of titles back that it was Need for Change time. The company switched to "official" racing instead of the cooler, more dangerous street racing. In their attempt to redeem themselves and prove that NFS is just as cool in circles as it is underground, EA has released the NFS Shift demo slightly earlier than expected for PC.
Direct2Drive has a big 5th anniversary sale going right now over a 5 week period, with 10+ games available each week each for $5. This week is action games, but coming up are RPG/MMO, Indie, and War games. They're not announcing which games will be available in the coming weeks, but there are some good games there right now (such as Bioshock) so check it out, a lot of these games are definitely worth the $5. There are also some additional $5 games available at the bottom of the page. One question: When D2D turns 10, will the games be $10?
Great news for the Star Wars fans! Knights of the Old Republic, one of Bioware's name-making RPGs, is now going for $9.99 on Steam. For a game released in 2003, KotOR still packs decent graphics and a hell of story. $10 for a classic RPG. Seeing as it is not a sale, Steam will most likely not raise the price again so there's plenty of time to get it.
