With the year fast coming to an end, and Black Friday approaching, sales have been more promising with each passing week. This week I found a cheap 23" monitor, 240GB SSD for $160, a video card on sale, and a case.
Newegg has gone heavy on their "Black November" sales, leading into the infamous Black Friday and Cyber Monday post-Thanksgiving fire sales. Believe it or not, there are actually some legitimately good discounts this weekend, including a $30 Antec GX700 (which we just positively reviewed), a 620W PSU, high-end BenQ displays, and more.
Before we get started, just a quick reminder that we're currently giving away some limited edition BlizzCon cases -- and a couple keyboards, too. Let's get to this weekend's gaming hardware sales!
Way back in 2010, when the site was still young, I wrote a somewhat sarcastic post about the retail obsession with slapping "Black [Day]" on anything to drive more sales. In that post, I declared November to be "Black November," following all the constant pre-Thanksgiving and post-Thanksgiving sales. Or "sales," whatever. One year later and Newegg officially declared November—you guessed it—Black November. I'll take my royalty check now.
Regardless, this weekend has a couple of reasonable price-drops on hardware and system building accessories. We pulled together deals on tool kits, power supplies, a consumer-grade laptop, and a Thor V2.
This weekend's hardware deals round-up is, from our perspective, a lot more exciting than the last few weeks; we found refurbished Corsair H100s for $50, a decent Corsair 430W PSU, a Dell UltraSharp 23" IPS monitor, AMD 7950, and FX-8320 CPU all on sale. And, because deal hunters also like free things, be sure to check out our FORCED game giveaway.
Welcome to another edition of Mik's picks. I scoured the web for the best component bargains out there, once again, and have rounded-up some of the better component sales currently available. This time around I found a trio of discounted video cards, some greatly priced RAM, and a sweet monitor.
This weekend sees the arrival of several Columbus-day-discounted items from most online retailers. Given the current deals on computer hardware, we were able to find a PSU, motherboard, 650 Ti Boost video card, 128GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD, and Corsair Carbide case on sale.
As part of our recurring weekend-ly hardware sales round-up, this weekend sees the arrival of monitor, video card, and CPU discounts; for something a bit different, we also included a power strip (often overlooked) to protect your systems from power surges.
If you haven't noticed, we just revamped the website to be a slick, mobile-responsive, fast resource for gaming system builders; it's been our goal for a few years now to guide enthusiasts in PC building endeavors, and with our new revamp, we can do that better than ever. More on that in a separate post.
Before the weekend closes out, we decided to compile some of the best computer hardware sales available right now for those of you looking to get in a bit of pre-holiday shopping. This weekend sees the highlight of an $80 120GB SSD, $90 H100i CLC, $60 Corsair enclosure, and a $480
I will note that if you're looking to build a new rig, we recently revamped our PC build guides to include a new content filtration system -- so go play around with that! The forums are, of course, always open to support your efforts.
For whatever reason, this weekend sees the arrival of several undeniably solid deals on gaming hardware -- including video card sales, PSU discounts, and misc. system building supplies. If you're working on a new build or need a quick upgrade, it's worth paying attention to some of the items we found this weekend. Let's jump straight into it.
