Black Friday Sales Round-Up: $90 H440, $250 GTX 770, $58 8GB RAM, $135 R9 270
Now that Black Friday is upon us, we have loads of hardware sales to choose from – more than we could possibly list here. We found what we consider the best sales going on right now. Only once a year do we see sales of this magnitude: An NZXT H440 for $90 (won't go live til 11/28), 240GB SSD for $85, R9 270 for $135, and more.
It's “Black November” again – presumably next year will be “Black 2015,” at the rate we're going. Regardless, there are legitimately worthwhile sales in the gaming hardware and software worlds. We've got full round-ups coming in short order, but for the meantime, we'll just highlight VisionTek's R9 290 “CryoVenom” sale.
Welcome to another edition of our weekly sales round-up. After searching the web, I found some pretty good sales on a variety of PC components. This weekend, we found sales on a hard drive, case, power supply, CPU, and video card.
We touched on the holiday sale that Steam was doing recently, but Newegg has just started its own game sales – putting up over 400 titles for discount. In true Newegg fashion, they've dumped non-sale items onto the “exclusive deals” page just to make finding the sales a bit more frustrating. Newegg also separates the Mac and PC versions of the games, further listing all the DLC as part of the standalone item sales, which I can't help but think is done just to fluff the number of sale items. Still, there are a couple worthwhile purchases here.
We hope you all had a great, Star Citizen-filled Halloween! Now that it's over and the sugar rush is subsiding, let's see what goodies are still out there. This week, we decided to focus on video card sales, having found some great deals on both AMD and NVIDIA cards.
Valve's wallet-draining endeavors have started early for this year's Halloween, it appears. Then again, apparently Halloween is now holiday enough to mandate sales. The good news is that Valve's kept it classy with games loosely related to All Hallows.
AMD's combinatory APUs (CPU + IGP) just received a price drop, according to an email we received from the company today. In a press release, AMD noted that its flagship A10-7850K APU – equipped with R7 graphics – would be dropping to $143 MSRP from roughly $180. Other price drops include the A10-7700K at $123.
The new prices in AMD's Kaveri-generation APUs are as follows:
Weekend Hardware Sales - $90 GTX 750, $125 750 Ti, $230 i5-4690 + Z87 Combo
Welcome to another edition of our weekend hardware sales roundup. This weekend, we decided to get back to our low budget-minded roots. With the ongoing Great GM204 shortage of 2014 in full swing, I decided to focus on the best deals on low-budget video cards. We found three NVIDIA GPUs and one AMD GPU, as well as a great deal on an Intel upgrade bundle.
Weekly Game Sales: $5 XCOM, $7 Mafia II & Spec Ops, $5 Stronghold RTS
After what seems like an interminable amount of agony and suffering (also known as a work/school week), it is time to grasp at the safe refuge that the weekend offers. To celebrate such a momentous journey and the survival of those of us who made it, and a fond memorial to those who didn’t, let’s grab some games on sale.
Weekly Game Sales: $14 Borderlands 2, $7 Bioshock Infinite, $12 Anno 2070
This week we have another batch of games for sale. Last time we plumbed the depths of Amazon for some great deals, we found Assassin's Creed IV for $15, Civ V for $10, and other affordable titles. To spread the love of great savings, we decided to see what deals Newegg has this week – now that they've revamped their game software efforts – and we got lucky. It seems both 2K and Ubisoft have some major title discounts right now. 2K’s ends on 10/17 and Ubisoft’s ends 10/14.
We listed a few of the best deals below, but be sure to check them all out.
We moderate comments on a ~24~48 hour cycle. There will be some delay after submitting a comment.
