LG 34UM67 FreeSync Ultra-Wide 21:9 Monitor Specs Teased

Posted on January 3, 2015

CES officially starts on Tuesday of this coming week, but our meetings with hardware vendors will begin tomorrow. Part of AMD's showcase this year extends through its display partners, who will be exhibiting several new FreeSync-compatible displays following Omega Catalyst's launch.

LG's new FreeSync-enabled display is built under the Ultra-Wide form factor, meaning you've got a 21:9 aspect ratio as opposed to the more standard 16:9 ratio. The screen is 34” wide, but that's about all we know about it right now – resolution and price are yet unknown.

The company also announced a few other monitors, including a 34” curved UW display with a 3440x1440 resolution (34UC97) and 31” 4096x2160 wide display (31MU97) for fans of the 19:10 format. LG markets the 31MU97 more heavily toward artists and Photoshop users.

We may have more news on this at CES.
