Ducky Teases Ultra Bright Cherry RGB Keyboard with Dual PCB

Posted on May 26, 2015

The name “Ducky” may conjure images of adorable rubber ducks for many, but for keyboard enthusiasts, Ducky reminds them of a well-known and, more importantly, high-quality keyboard brand. Ducky’s Shine 3 and 4 keyboards are some of Ducky’s most recommended products, and stand as a testament to their minimalistically styled, but high-quality mechanical keyboards.

Most recently, Ducky been teasing their latest LED keyboard, and this one comes with a bit of a twist: Ducky’s newest keyboard will feature RGB lighting with Cherry’s specially-made RGB switches. Up until now, Corsair RGB keyboards have been the only keyboards with Cherry’s new RGB switches, resultant of a one-year contract prior to the K95 / K70 RGB launches. For those who don’t know, Cherry’s RGB switches are the same as their normal switches, except they have a translucent case to better spread and refract the light.

Ducky’s new keyboard will feature Cherry’s RGB switches, although details about how they are controlled, their color range, or other details about the keyboard are still unknown. Ducky has indicated they will feature MX Brown, Red, Black, and Blue switches.

It is known that Ducky will be bringing RGB Cherry MX switches to market soon and may be the second company to adopt the switch.

Ducky has confirmed they will have further information revealed at Computex 2015, so stay tuned for our coverage of Computex.
