NVIDIA Hotfix 375.76 Resolves High-Refresh Display Flickering

Posted on November 4, 2016

NVidia's most recent round of drivers exhibited a few issues for Windows 10 mail application users -- something we didn't see, since we don't use those apps on our test platform -- and for high-refresh display users. These bugs cropped-up around the time of the Battlefield 1 release drivers, but have largely been resolved in the last couple of hotfixes.

Now, with 375.76, nVidia believes it has resolved flickering on high-refresh rate displays and GIF artifacting. The driver update includes expected optimizations for Obduction, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (just released), Modern Warfare Remastered, Skyrim Special Edition, and Dishonored 2. Titanfall 2 performance optimizations are also available.

If you've already got a recent driver package (like 375.70) and are happy with it, the flickering issues likely did not apply to your monitor and the drivers could be left alone. That said, like we commented in our AMD driver news update yesterday, GN does generally recommend keeping drivers updated.

You'll be able to find the hotfix here in short order: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
