We've posted these 'flash sale' notifications once before when video cards went on sale, and given the current discounts on CPUs, it seemed like time to make another post. These deals make for good opportunities for those building budget gaming PCs and 'cheap bastard' style rigs.
If you're building a new Haswell or Bulldozer-powered rig, TigerDirect presently has the i7-4770 CPU on sale for $290 (down $40) and AMD's FX-8120 on sale for $130 (down from $180). For the AMD CPU, use the coupon code 'RTA98617' at checkout. It should be noted that the 8120 is technically one generation old (superseded by Piledriver last year), though for a budget INT-heavy eight-core rig, $130 certainly is good enough to consider.

For other quick spotlights, there's a combo deal on the 8120 + ASUS M5A97 LE AM3+ board (found here - $190 for CPU + board). Considering that the board is normally $90 and the CPU is on sale for $130, it's good enough to be worth a new system build -- especially for those interested in overclocking.
