The world's most heavily crowdfunded game, Star Citizen (now at $60 million), just announced that the impending Star Citizen Fan Event in Melbourne will showcase the FPS module for the first time. We've previously spoken with Cloud Imperium Games CEO Chris Roberts about the FPS module, a popular interview that can be rewatched here:

No doubt the initial module won't feature all the elements discussed in the interview, but it'll get us started with CryEngine-esque combat.

Check the CIG / Roberts Space Industries website at 6AM EST on November 1 to learn more. The FPS module will be available for download shortly thereafter. We'll have full coverage as we learn more.
