Modern Warfare 2 meets 50 Cent

Fifty Cent joined Infinity Ward recently to play some Modern Warfare 2, and discuss his cameo in the game.

Fitty will take over some of the basic voice roles, along with several other famous (unnamed) people, in Infinity Ward's new game.  Fifty's official site says the rapper will lend his voice as "the Multi-Player voice," and Robert Bowling of IW states that 50 Cent is "one of many squad voices featured in multiplayer and Spec Ops modes [in MW2]."

Bowling told us, "He is one of quite a few casual cameos in the game, none of which I can name at this point."

Specifically, you'll hear 50 shouting, "Reloading," "Tango Down!" "I'm down, get me up!" and "Watch your fire."

Robert Bowling did clear up the rumor that Benji and Joel Madden from Good Charlotte will not be voice acting in the game, and that they just visited the studio with 50 Cent as friends.

Steve Burke

Steve started GamersNexus back when it was just a cool name, and now it's grown into an expansive website with an overwhelming amount of features. He recalls his first difficult decision with GN's direction: "I didn't know whether or not I wanted 'Gamers' to have a possessive apostrophe -- I mean, grammatically it should, but I didn't like it in the name. It was ugly. I also had people who were typing apostrophes into the address bar - sigh. It made sense to just leave it as 'Gamers.'"

First world problems, Steve. First world problems.
