The upcoming release of Blood Bowl II just got a lot darker (and bit pointier) with the reveal of Dark Elves as a playable race. You can see a preview of their speed and underhanded tricks in the video trailer released by Focus Home Interactive, found below.
Blood Bowl is a turn-based version of American Football as played by the forces of Games Workshop’s Warhammer world. In Blood Bowl, you can take control of the Human Empire, fearsome Orcs, stout Dwarves, verminous Skaven, the terrifying forces of Chaos, honorable Bretonnians, noble High Elves, and now the cunning Dark Elves. In addition, scaly Lizardmen and stealthy Wood Elves are available with pre-orders.
That’s a lot of adjectives.
Blood Bowl is no normal game of football, either; violence and cheating are encouraged, alongside anything else to get ahead -- like the untimely, crowd-initiated demise of a competing quarterback. Use powerful magic and deadly weapons to disable your foe and score the touchdown.
Blood Bowl II is being made by Cyanide Studios and published by Focus Home Interactive -- release is expected on September 22nd, but you can pre-order for Xbox One, PS4, and Steam on PC now.
