The Need for Speed franchise has been around for a long time now, and EA decided a couple of titles back that it was Need for Change time.  The company switched to "official" racing instead of the cooler, more dangerous street racing.  In their attempt to redeem themselves and prove that NFS is just as cool in circles as it is underground, EA has released the NFS Shift demo slightly earlier than expected for PC.

The demo has five cars available for play: Dodge's Viper, the Lotus Elise, BMW's Z3, Nissan GTR and Pagani Zonda.  The cars can be played on two different courses, one of them being London River.  Download the demo here or here.

Steve Burke

Steve started GamersNexus back when it was just a cool name, and now it's grown into an expansive website with an overwhelming amount of features. He recalls his first difficult decision with GN's direction: "I didn't know whether or not I wanted 'Gamers' to have a possessive apostrophe -- I mean, grammatically it should, but I didn't like it in the name. It was ugly. I also had people who were typing apostrophes into the address bar - sigh. It made sense to just leave it as 'Gamers.'"

First world problems, Steve. First world problems.
