As if murdering families in the Sims, Majesty 2, and Magicka weren't enough, we can now look forward to the dismemberment of our closest robotic allies; hey, the trailer even alluded to shooting "your toaster" (something that I consider blasphemous, for the record). Shoot Many Robots is a whimsical, side-scrolling style co-operative robotic murder fest that is due as a downloadable release this year. The first gameplay trailer has gone live alongside some new screenshots, all of which will be posted below.
We're hoping the game will be at PAX East this year (preparation is making us anxious!), and if so, all information gained will be posted here shortly! For now, we know that the game can host up to four players co-operatively, has some form of loot / inventory system, and involves the destruction of our most sacred cybernetic friends. Or something like that.
Steve started GamersNexus back when it was just a cool name, and now it's grown into an expansive website with an overwhelming amount of features. He recalls his first difficult decision with GN's direction: "I didn't know whether or not I wanted 'Gamers' to have a possessive apostrophe -- I mean, grammatically it should, but I didn't like it in the name. It was ugly. I also had people who were typing apostrophes into the address bar - sigh. It made sense to just leave it as 'Gamers.'"
First world problems, Steve. First world problems.
