Robot Entertainment -- founded by many of the former Age of Empires developer team -- is bringing us Orcs Must Die! in the first two weeks of October. We're looking forward to the cartoony-action game, which utilizes traps to obliterate orcs by the hundreds and is centered around the player defending his fortress (almost in tower defense format, except in third-person).
