Episode 8 has arrived, Tassadar! This time we look at Deadly30, a 2D indie zombie-killing game set in World War II; it's side-scrolling and has Tower Defense elements within, includes a companion system (up to two extra soldiers in your squad), and is heavily-focused on building-up and fortifying a structure to survive for a gruelling 30 days.

Without further ado, here's the video! Enjoy!

And, as has become tradition, an epic image:

Deadly30 is $5 over on the dev's official site. If you like side-scrollers and want to put that Intel Graphics Decelerator to use, this game should play on just about any system.

Here's the index of all previous episodes:

  • Episode 1: Cube World, the adventurous combination of Zelda and Minecraft.
  • Episode 2: ChoplifterHD, a silly and carefree arcade shooter.
  • Episode 3: Hawken, the free-to-play mech combat FPS.
  • Episode 4: Castle Story, the free-form voxel RTS.
  • Episode 5: Fray, the cyberpunk strategy game.
  • Episode 6: Chivalry - Medieval Warfare
  • Episode 7: Waveform, the crazy space wavelength game.
  • Episode 8: Deadly30!

Steve Burke

Steve started GamersNexus back when it was just a cool name, and now it's grown into an expansive website with an overwhelming amount of features. He recalls his first difficult decision with GN's direction: "I didn't know whether or not I wanted 'Gamers' to have a possessive apostrophe -- I mean, grammatically it should, but I didn't like it in the name. It was ugly. I also had people who were typing apostrophes into the address bar - sigh. It made sense to just leave it as 'Gamers.'"

First world problems, Steve. First world problems.
